Oh Daddy

Oh daddy tell me again
What You said He did
As she jumped up and down
Her joy was not hid

I want to hear the story again
Her voice blended with glee
Tell me; tell me of His Love
And how He died for me

The sweetest story I’ve ever heard
I can’t wait until when
I have the chance to share it all
With my closest friend

Oh daddy, daddy sing that song
About the Old Rugged Tree
How He shed His Precious Blood
On the hill called Calvary

I want to go where grandpa lives
When my life I’ve lived all
I’ll wait patiently down here
Until I hear that final call

Oh Gentle Hands

Oh Gentle Hands rest softly on
This heart for you desire
To feel Your Blessed Holy Touch
From You Your Strength Acquire

Play now upon these pleading strings
A song that is Your Choice
And bring it forth upon my lips
While in praise I lift my voice

Honor yes for you alone
For in this I only see
Your Love and Grace yet greater far
Than all of life to me

Bring once again that Golden Touch
That makes a heart to shine
Though battered by the waves of life
Still yet Your Touch is mine

Oh Gentle Hands rest softly on
This heart for you desire
And each day as I rise
Bless this heart entire

Oh That I Could Touch

Oh that I might touch
The Hand of God that I might be led
The Mind of god that I might know wisdom
The Heart of God that I might know Love
The eyes of God that I might clearly see
The Mouth of god that I might speak of His Mighty Works
The Feet of God that I might walk in His Ways
The Ears of God that I might hear His Voice
The Arms of God that I might hold others
The Back of God that I might carry His Cross
The Blood of God that I might know forgiveness
The Son of God that I might be like Him
The Spirit of God that I might live eternally

On His Light

Oh that this river would flow
Into my heart so I would know
That He is wherever I go
From up there to down below

I’ll say it over and over again
Until I’ve found it and then
It takes away all my sin
My name written down by Love’s Pen

Yes His Word to obey
Both by night and day
He gives me to say
And guide me on my way

So once when life here shall end
And God to earth shall send
His Son our only true friend
On His Light forever depend

On Your Promise

O winded heart blown hard upon
By life’s relentless waves
Tossed to and fro and all about
Yet looks for one who saves

Sadness sends a message to
These eyes that they should cry
And washing down upon this heart
To bring forth painful sigh

Lift the heart to look upon
What sorrow brought today
And search again for help to come
With words someone should say

Is this a time of by myself
What I feel inside
Or comfort come when needed now
For this I’ve truly tried

For what friend in love to say
Could make me understand
I truly see will pass away
As on Your Promise I stand

Once For All

Ah but was told to me before
I can remember again
A song or a poem read to me
Taken to where I had been
Can I find that feeling same
That I had felt back then
Was good, was good this I know
I can hardly wait till when

Mattered not if rain or snow
For all was found to be
In peace and love by unite
Easy then to see
Never taken lightly by
A choice of life for free
He gave once for all
On Calvary’s Rugged Tree

Once to Have Known

If were a fleeting moment
Or yet unending flow
To touch or feel enjoyment
A wondrous thing to know

A day spent ever softly
Upon a pillowed stream
To lift up so loftily
Into a hallowed dream

Sometime seem all sufficient
To fill a life complete
In nothing yet deficient
For loves test to meet

This I’m sure has found
What love in me has grown
My heart is truly bound
Once to have known

One

The voice was soft and understood

No mistaking was meant was said

Troubling words heard before

The voice brought hope instead

Speak softly now O Lord I pray

For on whom shall I call

Today I stand in need of you

To be my all in all

These things I can’t do myself

Though try and try again

This body now that traps my soul

Has burdened it with sin

Voice of God bring right words

Ones my heart can hear

Let Your Spirit flow inside

As my soul draws near

My soul will proudly sing again

Of things Your Word has done

That works by Grace in my heart

Until You and I are one

One Little Lamb

Who can find me in this place
No one can see where I am
Out of all the world of people
I am but one little lamb

Who would care should I die
Those I love have gone their way
Should I find fault with them
My life is my chosen day

Life is as a ravening wolf
Tearing at what’s left of my soul
Shall I find peace when death has taken me
Of this I have no control

I gather my thoughts to cry
But seems as a drop in a river
Lost among all the scatter of time
No hope for one to deliver

Then a voice from one told to me
By the man of God before
Could this be hope returned
Shall I in this expect more

No need now I find to despair
For Christ came where I am
To lift and heal the life
Of this one little lamb

One of These Days 1

One of these days I heard him say
I’ll surely make it home
By faith in due I know about
When on these streets I roam

One of these days it will all be o’er
I’ll know as I am known
When He comes to resurrect
This body that’s been sown

One of these days I’ll see His face
The one who died for me
Who His blood for one and all
Upon Mt. Calvary’s tree

One of these days He’ll say well done
My good and faithful child
Welcome to your place of rest
In a city where all is mild

One of these days I’ll praise Him still
For all His wondrous ways
Forever and ever praise His name
One of these days, yes one of these days.

One of These Days 2

One of these days I heard him say
I remember it oh so well
He said I’ll get my life straight
So everyone can tell

Tomorrow seems a better day
To start my place in life
I’ll rise from sleep to start a day
That will end my pain and strife

I just have so much to do
This day I must complete
And then I’ll relax at home
To rest my weary feet

And when the sun shall wake my sleep
I’ll start my life anew
It’s just today I have no time
For the things I have to do

As I look upon his face
Lying now so still
He never took time to face the Lord
But one of these days he will

One of These Days 3

One of these days I’ll fix that door
That’s squeaked for so long
And fix that broken pane of glass
When a baseball throw went wrong

And if I can get the time
To plunge the toilet out
And buy a knob for the bathroom door
My wife will surely shout

And then I’ll fix that pipe that leaks
And the rotted wood beneath
And finish painting the bedroom wall
A sigh of relief I’ll breathe

And yet another thing I’ll do
Is change each burned out light
So we won’t kick loose the table legs
When our way we can’t see at night

Alas and then I’ll go to the car
To fix that broken part
And I’ll get it all done when
One of these days I start

Our Song

I heard it once again today
It brought me to dreaming again
Of a time when it belong to two
For two people alone it was written

How could these words come from someone else?
When it spoke the truth of our day
And so much younger we were then
This song of love sent our way

Truly was not for other ears
But for us and us alone
To be shared only two between
Those things these words had shown

A whispered sigh oh blessed thought
Of all that we had then
And now to be revived unannounced
In our song I hear once again

A smile of warmth in fading words
In a time where nothing was wrong
When all the things I felt for you
Was written of love in our song
