Yes

Pull from my heart oh arrow of life
And move to that place of distress
Flying mightily to go
My souls deep shadow impress
And let His Spirit come quickly
His Hands this pain caress
Change these dark clothes of sin
With white replace me to dress
That before Him I can bow
To give all honor nothing less
Because when to Him I came
My sins I must confess
When to leave for my long home
Eternal life I shall possess
To all who the same will do
His promises not no but yes

You Can't Borrow My Chair

I heard a knock upon my door
Not at an hour for there was no time
No such things as darkness anymore
For all God gave now was mine

And in these things He freely gave
Yet these I laid up myself
For in my works He did save
And kept on my private shelf

To be placed in a home of rest
Given me by God’s only Son
Yes in life I tried my best
Now for me a life crown won

So don’t come knocking on my door
If in this life you didn’t care
Enough to share His love more
And find yourself without a chair

So when you walk through Heaven’s gate
And find you have no furniture there
No place to sit or dinner plate
Don’t ask you can’t borrow my chair

You Didn't Hear Me Pray

I’ve loved you more than you can know
While growing through the years
Laughter that you never saw
Days covered with hidden tears

Time will never take away
Those things of you I know
My heart open wide for you
And this I’ll always show

Your life has meant so much to me
It seems a part my own
Remain with me a place for you
When times have come and gone

I gave you to the Lord above
For in His Hands I trust
That He Himself will care for you
When separate ways we must

So dear child I must inform
These words I gladly say
I gave all your all to Him
Though you didn’t hear me pray

You Didn't Think I Saw You

I was standing there watching you all along. I knew you were hurting because I saw you crying. When harmful words were spoken by a friend and your loved one passed on to me broke your heart I was standing there with my arms open. I desired to hold you and take that pain away. You didn’t think anyone understood but I knew what you were feeling. You didn’t think I saw you, but I was there. I whispered your name and you turned to me. You called me Father and were so glad I was there. Now isn’t that so much better I said as you fell into a peaceful sleep.

I always see you.

You Made Me Feel Welcome

Was just a simple word you said
That made me feel that way
You said it and I knew
You meant what you had to say

You didn’t know in my heart
Were things not so good
But when you spoke to me
It was as though you understood

Yes at a time I felt alone
Those thoughts upon me bare
That walking down this street
Where people didn’t care

A twinkle in your eye I saw
As you spoke to me
A stranger was I you’d never seen
Yet as friends of old were we

Surely you were sent from God
This one thing I truly know
You made me feel welcome
When you said hello

Young Hearts

I was glad I stopped to hear
The words in that song
Was a memory brought once again
It seemed forgotten so long

I think to recall what was then
When first those words I heard
Calling again my memory
To your face my heart now referred

I stand and feel what was before
Life had brought me to here
Those words drawing my mind
To one I held so dear

A smile and calm comes over me
Was good the things we had
When life was so younger then
The days our hearts were glad

Yes I hope to pass here again
When this love song was sung
Oh was just for us it seemed
When our hearts were young

Your Name is Waiting

What I said to him that stood
Close by to hear my voice
To know the truth look in the book
And do this is your choice

For in this book are all names
Of people great and small
And from the dawning of mankind
This book had room for all

Yet I find those who shun
And never understand
That their name was written down
By Christ the Lords own hand

But we find that one must look
To see what God has done
To know that he has written within
The names of everyone

It is sad when a name has left
Blotted out because of what was done
When we leave this world without Christ
Then our name from the book is gone

Your Will

I see the bridge I saw before
To it I did return
And go again to the Garden of Tears
It’s crossing I shall not spurn

My heart has brought me once again
For on it troubles did fall
Then recalled from times before
The place from which I call

The Garden of Hope to Bow and pray
And find His Grace to fill
The longing that these troubles bring
To search and find His Will

As crossing now this bridge begins
A feeling I can’t explain
To know that I shall stand before
My Lord and God once again

Yes I know I’ll surely stand
Though upon my knees I bow
Oh Father not my will be done
But to me your will endow

Your Words Today

Talk to me I need to hear
Words of Love from You
Nothing can fill my soul
The way You speak can do

Say how You came and died
Upon a cross for me
How I can find your peace
From sin to be set free

Whisper sweet words of comfort
That only I know you can
To cover my days of sorrow
And hold my heart again

Though my body’s sick
Your Word alone can heal
And to flow inside my heart
To know the things I feel

Now my ears and heart respond
To things You have to say
No matter what life may bring
I need Your Words today
